Volunteers Are Always Needed!!

Thanks for even thinking about volunteering.  The Board and Staff of Health Care for All! know how hard it is to fit volunteerism into your busy life.  Over the past few years, we've had 100's of volunteers invest in our success and as you can see, it shows.

With such a small staff, volunteers are the backbone of our operation.  Whether you have a couple of hours a month, a few hours a week, or even a couple weeks a year available, we can use your help.  No experience necessary.  

What kinds of work have our volunteers done for us in the past?  They have:

• Contacted our coalition members to followup on mailings/action alerts, etc
  
• Worked to get new community groups to join the coalition.
  
• Organized media events and followed up with reporters.
  
• Gone door-to-door organizing neighborhoods to call their lawmakers.
  
• Spoken to community groups about our project to gain their support.
  
• Helped us with Coalition mailings.
  
• Helped us enter data into our database.
  
• Helped us lobby for changes in laws/regulations

Interns are Especially Welcome!!

For many years, our student interns have been an integral part of our movement.   If you want to learn more about health policy development, politics, community organizing, media advocacy, lobbying, fundraising, etc., look no further.  We've had high school, college, graduate social work, law, medicine, and a host of other students come through our office.

We are very respectful of a student schedule so don't let your "unique" schedule problems scare you away from "changing the world".

If you are a student and would like to do an internship with us, just give us a call.  We have good relationships with many area colleges and universities.  In many cases, students who intern with us can get independent study credit.
